We design our converters to match the engine output to driveline chassis combination to achieve ultimate performance. In addition to being built to your specifications, we use the latest converter technology to achieve your performance goals. Special stator machining is use to enhance performance. We have the capability to alter the converter if a combination change should occur. The special steel stator that SELECT uses offers more strength and a 5-year warranty against breakage

 Reactor Torque Converters

* High strength custom steel stator or aluminum alloy stator
* Heavy duty 22 element sprag or optional mechanical diode

* Steel turbine hub with turbo spline
* High performance reactor steel or aluminum stator race converters 
  are available in 10", 9", 8" and 7" diameters. These extremely tough
  steel stator converters are ideal for nitrous, blown, injected and large 
  displacement engine.

 Street/Strip Converters
 
These converters are available in 9", 10", 11", and 12"diameters. They are 
designed for use in moderate street/strip performance applications requiring 
more stall speed then stock converters. They feature brazed impellers and 
turbine blades, billet steel turbine hubs, heavy duty impeller bearings, 
selected impeller and stator combinations for desired stall, and each 
converter is pressure tested.
 

RV/Towing Converters
 
These converters are available in 11", 12", and 13" diameters. For most 
applications stall speeds are lower than stock to help eliminate and 
unnecessary slippage at cruising speeds. This improves gas mileage 
and lowers transmission temperatures. These converters are for street 
use in stock applications only. Each converter is rebuilt to factory 
specifications and get pressure tested.
 

    Tips When Ordering Your Torque Converter
 
xxxxxSPECIFY FOR TURBO 350-400 AND POWERGLIDES:
     * Specify powerglide or turbo input shaft spline
     * Specify chevy or B-O-P for 12" converters
     * Specify bolt pattern (large or small)
     * Chrysler engines utilizing GM transmission adapter kits require small bolt pattern
     * Most of our race converters will accept up 1/4" mid plate, other lengths are available as 
       special order
xxxxxSPECIFY FOR 727 AND 904 (converters are non-lockup)
     * For 1971 and later externally balanced 340 engines
     * For 1971 and later externally balanced 360 engines
     * For 1971 and later externally balanced 383 engines, 400 and 440 cid engines with cast crank
     * For 1970-1972, and 1975 and later 440 cid high performance externally balanced with 
        forged crank

     * 1970 and later with 26 spline input shaft
